Apply to Lander College for Women

COVID-19 Update

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lander College for Women will not require students to take the SAT or ACT for admission to the College. Although the exams are optional, it will only positively influence your potential scholarship award if you do take them. The SAT II exam, while optional, will also positively influence your potential scholarship award. Please note that effective May 2021, the SAT or ACT is required for admission to the Honors Program.

Applying to college can be daunting, but we are here to help at any point along the way.

To get started, here's a list of what we need from you:

1. Application
Complete and submit your application, with a non-refundable $50 fee, to the Office of Admissions of the Lander College for Women. We have rolling admissions.

Qualified students should also consider applying to our Honors program. Those interested in health fields should look at the admission requirements for our integrated honors tracks in medicine, health sciences and pharmacy, and the Medical Honors Pathway. The accelerated BA/MS degree in Jewish studies/education has its own admission requirements and application process as well.

Students currently studying in Israel should send their applications to the Lander College for Women Israel Office. Addresses provided below. We’ve waived the application fee for students in Israel to make the application process easier.

2. Academic Records
Forward a copy of your official high school transcript and, if applicable, other college or yeshiva transcripts to the Office of Admissions at LCW. We cannot evaluate applications without a high school transcript.

3. Test Scores
Have your official SAT or ACT scores sent to Touro College.
Touro College SAT score report number: 2902
Touro College ACT score report number: 2961

 4. Recommendations

Include two letters of recommendation with your application packet. These should come from people who know you well and can speak to your strengths as a student and a person, such as teachers, or your local rabbi.

5. Interview
Interviews are not required, however, students may request an interview with a member of our admissions staff when they are in NY or via Skype.  We value getting to know you beyond who you are on paper.  Sometimes students are requested to have an interview.  In those cases, a designated representative of Lander College for Women will contact you for a personal interview.

Early Admissions and Transfer Applications

Outstanding, well-qualified candidates may be admitted to the College at the end of the junior year of high school. We also welcome transfer students and qualified visiting students from other colleges. For more information please contact our director of recruitment.
