Art Studio Exhibition
Evening art expo features LCW student artists
On December 16, 2015, the Lander College for Women—The Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School (LCW) community gathered for a studio exhibition featuring the artwork of students in Professor Leah Raab’s Drawing and Painting class.
Watercolors, oil pastels, and charcoal sketches lined the walls at this celebratory event, which took place in the art studio at the 65th Street residence. Students and staff explored and admired the artwork while enjoying hors d'oeuvres. In her address, Dean Marian Stoltz-Loike congratulated the artists and remarked that she wished she could have taken the Tuesday night course. In a gesture of appreciation, artists Leah Meth and Rachel Salem thanked Professor Raab with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for her “dedication to her students and cultivating of their talents.”
The exhibition featured the work of student artists Elisheva Rina Aufrichtig; Bracha Bart; Reena Bogart; Matilda Hagage; Bracha Kahn; Devorah Kaplan; Aviva Chana Kaufman; Leah Meth; Meytal Misrahi; Kayla Anne Rodenberg; Chana Rubenstein; Rachel Salem; and Baila Silverman.
