Chaya Appel Fishman is the Founder and President of The Jewish Woman Entrepreneurial Network (JWE)—a national nonprofit organization that promotes financial stability in the community by helping women launch and grow successful businesses. Chaya built The JWE into a 1,000-member organization with 12 local chapters across America. It is the first organization to offer comprehensive support to Orthodox Jewish women business owners and professionals.

Chaya graduated magna cum laude from Lander College for Women with a BS in Finance. She is the recipient of the Touro Service Award and a Wexner Leadership Fellow.

Chaya is also a recent graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was a Rubin Scholar. In 2014, Chaya was named one of The Daily Record’s “20 in Their Twenties” honorees for her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit and recognized as a “Forward 50,” the Forward newspaper’s annual list of the 50 American Jews who have had the most impact on our national story.
