Blima Klugman
Lander College for Women—The Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School
The future is wide open for Blima Klugman. A well-spoken sociology major with a focus on criminal justice, Klugman said her academic choice was based on her natural inclinations. “I love studying people,” laughed Klugman. “Human behavior is fascinating.”
Klugman is interested in a career in some aspect of criminal justice. (She said that her next stop might be a certification in criminal investigation at John Jay College of Criminal Justice after she graduates.) “I’m here to get exposed to different opportunities,” said Klugman. “All my classes at LCW have been amazing. Sociology is an interdisciplinary science, so we rely on disparate disciplines, which is one thing I like about it.”
Klugman had several interviews during the fair with different organizations, including the New York City Department of Corrections. She said she was particularly interested in an internship that would have her working with rehabilitative therapists.
