Exceptional Education, Orthodox Values
Your role as a leader—in your professional field and the Jewish community—starts here.
At LCW, we offer a high-caliber, challenging secular education in the context of religious values, preparing students who are well-equipped to enter the workforce while fully committed to their Judaism. Since its founding by Dr. Bernard Lander, a”h, LCW has been inspired by the Judaic commitment to intellectual inquiry and social justice. Steeped in the tradition of our faith, our curriculum is structured to enable you to become critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and empathetic collaborators. Our degree requirements feature both a humanities core and a Judaic studies core, providing a well-rounded curriculum embedded in Jewish values.
We encourage students to excel in the classroom while involving themselves in meaningful college experiences that foster a sense of commitment to, and leadership in, the Jewish community. Our mission—to provide a high-level academic program seamlessly integrated and intertwined with our religious philosophy—fully permeates our classrooms, cafeterias, administrative offices, and student residences. For students who have studied in seminary, the Lander College for Women environment provides the perfect transition to a professional career, offering a warm and growth-oriented setting in which students strive for academic excellence while remaining true to their Orthodox values.
On any given day, you might find students heading from the biology lab to participate in one of the many extracurricular activities we offer, like volunteering at Dorot, catching a TLC shiur, packing food for Tomchei Shabbos, or feeding the hungry at a nearby soup kitchen.
