Chanukah, always a warm and joyous time, feels no differently at Lander College for Women—the Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School\'s 65th Street home away from home. While most students went home for Thanksgivukkah, they came back to campus to celebrate Chanukah! Each night they lit their menorahs together and filled the halls with songs and laughter.
Resounding music is not typically heard in the halls of Lander College for Women—the Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School (LCW). But on the third night of Chanukah, December 26, students and administration gathered in the LCW gym-turned-dance-floor to celebrate the holiday in full spirit at the annual chagigah. Sababa DJ provided the music while students enjoyed a dairy dinner, donuts, divrei torah, and dreidel spinning.
In keeping with the Chanukah spirit, Lander College for Women—The Anna Ruth and Mark Hasten School (LCW) brought the “Festival of Lights” to life on the third night of the holiday. Rows of colorful, flickering paper lanterns lit up the auditorium and glittered the dinner tables at this year\'s chagigah, which featured special student performances and a creative lantern-decorating project.
