Learn the ABCs of teaching.

Students with a passion for working with children and a desire to inspire young minds should consider the accelerated track in Jewish Childhood Education / Special Education. For this degree track you will take two years of Judaic Studies at Lander College for Women and then one to two years of master’s level classes at the Graduate School of Education in order to graduate with a bachelor's in Judaic Studies and a master's in Childhood Education & Special Education in four years.

Educate the future generation.

The master's program, accredited by New York State, is designed to give you insight into how factors singular to the Jewish community may impact the way children learn.

You will learn how to teach Jewish history, tefillah, tanakh with meforshim, and Hebrew reading.  You will be mentored throughout the program, at both the baccalaureate and master's levels. With a focus on current trends, courses will offer strategies for integrating technology into the Judaic Studies curriculum. The practical curriculum will give you the tools you will need to teach, while you gain valuable experience through internships and teaching opportunities in yeshivas.
