Rabbi Tzvi Flaum is currently Professor of Judaic Studies and Mashgiach Ruchani at Lander College for Women. A student of Rabbi Yosef Ber Soloveitchik zt"l, Rabbi Flaum received his rabbinical ordination from RIETS, eventually receiving the advanced rabbinic ordination” Yadin Yadin", and his M.A. in Jewish History from yeshiva University. Rabbi Flaum served previously as Chairman of the Vaad HaRabbanim of Queens, and he is currently Chairman of the Vaad HaRabbanim of Far Rockaway and Lawrence, after having served in a number of rabbinical positions including as the Rabbi of Congregation Kneseth Israel ("The White Shul") in Far Rockaway, NY. He is a member of the Medical Ethics Commission and Vaad Halacha of the RCA and the Board of Governors of the Association of Orthodox Jewish Scientists. He has also published medical ethics articles in major professional Halachic journals
